And huge props to him for overcoming to get back to SMU to finish his college career.
Absolutely. To me, he's the unsung hero of this team. He has quietly had a terrific year.

I'll go so far as to say this senior class will be even harder to replace than last year's. Thank you, seniors!

Anyone else here think Pitt gets a shot at the next level? Guys that can effectively clog the middle like he does are a valuable commodity. I think he's in camp as an FA next year with someone.

Yeah, I think so. There are fewer teams using the 350-pound Ted Washington types in the middle anymore. More and more teams are going with slightly smaller - but strong and quick - guys like Pittman. It sounds like the coaches are appreciative of his performance, and hopefully they'll talk him up to scouts. With his quickness, he might even catch their eye on Pro Day, too.

I hope so. He certainly deserves a shot.

Indeed. He might be another combine freak. I hear his bench is especially freakish.

Congrats to these seniors! Historic class without a doubt.

Was there another 4 year span of winning records other than these? Mustang Mania early 80s years come to mind, but I don't think there are any others. Congrats to JONES, MASON, coaches and the TEAM.

I checked the media guide and for some reason don't see any data prior to 1956, but from 1956 on, the only sustained run of winning seasons is 1980-1986.
