I expect several teams will give him a look as a free agent, but doubt he gets drafted. let's see if he gets invited to combine
Re: DJ NFL.com draft profile
He is definitely draft material-I expect him to get drafted.

Re: DJ NFL.com draft profile
Disregard what you thought he would be coming into the season. At the pro level, he is Beasley with a little more athleticism. He struggles to get off the line in press coverage, which is his major weakness, but he is a legit punt returner. His measurables will be better than Beasley and between that and his highlight reel I think he is a last round pick. Someone will make a play on him because of the number of players we are starting to put in the NFL and the rep they have for putting in the work.
Re: DJ NFL.com draft profile
DJ lacks Robnson's Speed and Beasley's consistancy. For good or evil, I think this will keep him from being drafted. There are 120 or so FBS teams. Each team having at least 3 WR to look at. It would take more effort than most NFL teams can afford to determine that DJ MIGHT be awesome based on LAST years statistics. That's UDFA territory if you ask me.
I wouldn't have bet that, but that's what the numbers tell me.

All I know is that in every quality vistory SMU fans like to brag about over the last few years DJ made key plays to secure the victory while a bunch of other offensive studs sometimes disappeared.

I have to give myself some credit here when it comes to analyzing talent... Look back the last few years. As far as speed he doesn't touch AR but as far as hands he blows him away. Compared to Beasley he is quicker faster and better hands. All three of them are slot guys so getting off of press is not as important. I personally think DJ should get drafted when u compare the fact that AR constantly go single coverage when Emmanuel was playing, and cole was the benefactor of aldricks speed and lines ability to open up the adding game. The interesting thing that makes everyone from Emmanuel to DJ interesting is that try each had 3 different qbs during their career. I project DJ in 6-FA, but should be drafted

In four years, DJ has had 4 QB 's (Mitchell, Padron, McDermick and Gilbert). Despite eratic and inconsistent QB play and not playing in 2-1/2 games due to injuries, DJ has had a decent year. IMO, DJ will get drafted.

Re: DJ NFL.com draft profile
To me, DJ3 will play in the NFL. He can fill the same role that Cole does with the Cowboys. That said, I don't know that someone will use a draft pick on him but he will make a roster. But, the point made above about Sanders, ER, and Cole's success helping DJ3's chances of getting drafted is spot on if you ask me.
Re: DJ NFL.com draft profile
Receivers as small as Johnson don't often get drafted unless they run a blazing 40. He really needs a Combine invite and a 40 time in the neighborhood of Robinson (4.43) and Sanders (4.41) to get drafted.
