Quiet 13 points for Cunningham.

Cunningham just blocked a shot and got called for a foul. Jones went up for the rebound and fell hard, and came up holding his hand. Appears to be OK.

one more encouraging stat from this game...Bernardi, who is clearly a shoot 1st guy, had 2 awssists and no turnovers. As coach Brown said in post game, he's still a work in progress as coach wants guys to play defense and rebound the ball...but that's a positive on top of a great scoring performance

and speaking of rebounding, 4 guys with 7 or more boards tonight...lead by Cannen with 9, Ryan and Jalen with 8 and Shawn with 7

Even Bernardi got a defensive board. Guys played with good hustle tonight

Nice "take care of business" game for SMU. Furman cut it to 6 a couple of times early but never got it to single digits in the second half.

I was worried about 22 getting hot on threes (which he finally did) but SMU stepped up and made sure the Paladins could never get back into it.

Hopefully a coming out game for Bernardi too!

Having a reliable shooter would be huge. Hopefully this helps BB's confidence. Confidence is so important for a shooter, especially as a freshman, but he's a NYC kid so you think he has to be tough.
