As coach Brown said in post game, he's still a work in progress as coach wants guys to play defense and rebound the ball...but that's a positive on top of a great scoring performance
and speaking of rebounding, 4 guys with 7 or more boards tonight...lead by Cannen with 9, Ryan and Jalen with 8 and Shawn with 7
Even Bernardi got a defensive board. Guys played with good hustle tonight
After a defensive play that resulted in a Furman TO, there was a timeout. I am not sure why LB was mad (late switch on defensive assignment?), but LB was seriously pissed.
Over the 1,500 fans, LB could be heard yelling at Bernardi and another player: "you don't get it. Do you? No you don't." Then, he did some sort of diagram, patted them on the buttocks, and sent them back in. lB seemed to scream at them more after good plays. After bad plays, he encouraged more.
Bernardi's shooting was nice, but he also made a few nice passes. But, two turnovers resulted from passes to air because Bernardi wasn't where the passer thought he would be. On defense, he didn't look bad to me, but I don't know squat. He clearly isn't as quick as the starters.
