Just got back from the game - wow, tough lost tonight. Shows you how important momentum can be in a game. But, that's just what it was - one game. Heard Bennett on the radio afterwards - wow, he is a class act. Brighter days are ahead for SMU football.
Oh, and beat Tech!

What a rough way to start. We looked so good at the start — Rutledge's long return, Hampton's touchdown catch .... then all hell broke loose.
Never fear, we're on the way back, tonight's loss notwithstanding. Tech's offense is one Bennett and his staff are completely familiar with, and we'll be MUCH better prepared next week.
GO PONIES! BEAT TEXAS TECH!
Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!

People, people!
It's ONE game! Relax, drink something tall, cold and refreshing, and get ready for the war with Tech.

Good to see you still on board with us, PPP. How's Donnie doing? We're all in his corner.
Keep the (SMU) faith. We all wish him and you well.
Go PONIES!

D-RAY(donnie) is pissed. He was at the game and couldn't bare watching. Not because SMU was losing. But because he wasn't on the sidelines. He hasn't been to one practice and it's not because he doesn't want to. I saw the man cry yesterday because he wanted to be out there. He works out almost everyday in the Cinco Center because coach won't let him in the football weight room. We are supposed to go throw the ball around with him tomorrow(9/1/02) on the soccer field. He wants it. We aren't sure if he is going to be with us next year or not though. Peace out and tough lost...good luck against TECH....GO MAVS
