Since there was a difference of 17 points by way of the FT line, Coog High should have won this game. Really don't think your team is good enough to get a win at Moody. . . Especially, if the officials call fouls on both teams.

No need to be a sore loser. You guys lost to the better team.

Just saw the score on the Espn app... I'm shocked... Do we have injuries or something? We 0-2 in conference play and haven't even played Memphis... Ugh crappy 2012-2013 season but at least Lb has an excuse...

^This guy and over 40,000 other people apparently enjoy Houston.

you are going to need to be able to attract local talent if Houston is going to be able to play with SMU in future years. As Coach Brown said: "they better get us now". SMU's future looks bright, but you guys have the better team this year.

lol @ houston, the 5 star coug boy is touting, Danuel House, was a Maligi recruit. Good luck scoring those in the future.

That said, SMU is better than UH next year and moving forward, but they have a definitively better roster this year. No biggie

Be careful with that. Better teams often draw more fouls.

We knew there would be days like this. Our starting 5 can compete in the league, and that is great to know. We all knew we had depth issues.

Nice write-up in the DMN today. "Mustangs lose again" gets about 1/4 the space of "Aggies enjoy big win in SEC opener." They beat 9-5 Arkansas for their first ever SEC win. 5,539 in announced attendance.

I thought SMU was being more aggressive to take away UH's inside game. Ponies made it much harder from that perspective but got quite a few fouls and depth played a big factor down the stretch. Fouling down the stretch also attributes to losing teams usually having more fouls than winning teams. For example, Iowa State had 12 more fouls than KU.

Feb. 2nd is going to be fun. We (DFW Coogs) are lining up fans to go. I hope we have as many fans as SMU had in Houston. :D

Really? You don't know that we are playing with 8 scholarship players due to 4 transfers sitting out and Blaise's season-ending injury?

Williams is just killing us. I know there aren't many options but he's not putting up any stats in significant minutes and had more than a few terrible decisions/turnovers last night. I think two alone led to fast break dunks for Houston. Very frustrating, he actually looked better last year.

UH was the better team last night. From watching the game, I'd say both these teams were pretty even. If we don't get into foul trouble, I'm not sure you win the game in your own house.

The FT difference is in large part due to the fouling in the last couple minutes so you could lengthen the game and get the ball back. If you were at the game you would know what I am talking about but smu was actually the beneficiary of 4 ridiculous calls in a row early in the second half to build the lead back to 9. The officiating in this conference is deplorable overall but there is one official who seems to take it personal wehn the opposing fans get on him. He made a host of terrible calls against Houston. It will probably help us to bring him with us to Dallas.

I am not quite sure why you guys are assuming to be so much better than us in the future. We return everyone except our back up center for next season and will be adding a national recruit with Danrad Knowles. Right now Houston has possibly the top threesome in the kleage with Joe Young, Tayshawn Thomas and Danuel House.

We have no PG. We have no bench. We have no center. And not even really a true PF. Next year we get all of that plus a lot more. Enjoy your win. It will be the last in a long while. Just like football. We've always been a much much better school. Now we will even beat you in the top 2 sports for a long time to come. You are a terrible school in an armpit city. Good luck with all of that.
