Not really, Maroon. His contract was up at the end of the spring semester so SMU notified they weren't renewing his contract. He then got on the phone to all his supporters to gin up a sh$tstorm to try to force SMU's hand. Didn't work........

Got it. Let's hope we get a new dean that can actually realize the potential of the law school. We're in a prime market and the reputation/history of our law school in Texas is second to only UT; we should do much better than what we have been doing currently.

Totally agree! The quality of the applicants continues to rise - now we need a leader who will demand a higher level of performance from faculty and staff - and students......

Our Methodist peers, no. 8 Duke and no. 20 Emory, have medical schools. Maybe you can't break into the top tier without a medical, dental or vet school plus a high percentage of alum donors. I would like to see a medical school.
