The helmets are OK, I guess (although I like the blue better, and the white even better than that). But those jerseys look like they came out of the USFL, or ArenaBall or NFL Europe.
Looks great! I'd narrow up the armbands, or lose them. You got our traditional uniform colors right regardless of what our old ancient official colors are. Combines a lot of features from our uniform history into 1.
uh...NO.
You have to take out the Royal Blue, that will never happen. We are Dark Blue now...unless you want to chance all of the campus colors and the stadium colors.
pls - let's just stick with the school colors - crimson (harvard) & navy (yale) & things will work out just fine -
they mix about as well as any colors could & they're sharp! BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
I'd like to see a surprise move in the next couple of years. You know, like when we start winning at least half our games -- and break out some exact replicas of the DickerJames era uniforms. Yeah, I know it's royal blue, but let's face it, those duds were sharp, and they look like no one else in college today.
Here's the new "traditional" uni. Traditional red helmets from early years through 1972. Narrower shoulder bands from the Don Meredith era. Blue Jerseys from the Jerry Levias / Chuck Hixson era in the 60s. Stripes with blue on the outside, and red in the middle from the DickerJames era on the pants which could easily be changed to white to more exactly copy that era.

Guys, guys... we have a uniform. Why all the fuss? We need to be out selling season tickets instead of dickering over things out of our control.
I do like Red Helmuts, ala, Doak Walker and the mid to late sixties. Sharp! Great teams in '66 and '68!
