True but apples and oranges. This is straight up our program vs. UT's. Larry Brown and staff vs. Rick Barnes and staff. No secondary factors involved that I'm aware of

I woud say Larry Brown is a secondary factor lol!

Being real, Keith isn't even guaranteed minutes on next years team. He's great, but so is Nic Moore & Russell has been good. Manuel has been good too, and Frazier isnt head & shoulders above Sterling either. He'd be a great addition, but we're deep

Good thought and futher he may not meet LB's defensive requirements and may ride the bench until such time that he is not a defensive liability. We know he can gun, but LB will determine if he can play D.

Coming from a huge Horns family, and a fan myself...I honestly can't imagine why you would want to play there 'right now'. The TJ Ford/KD days, yes, absolutely. But now? Barnes will without a doubt be gone very soon, Erwin Center is a dump and the worst place to watch a game. It's a shame really. 50k students and maybe 1.5k show up to games. And they are absolutely horrible right now and will continue to be that way for a few yrs.

Just heard he's going to visit Texas Tech next week. I'm all for kids taking as many visits possible but seems a strange place to visit when you've got so many options, especially considering they've got what amounts to a permanent interim head coach

i would hate to see him go UT - and SMU is definitely better if he wants to go pro - but i can at least see some allure to UT.

TT - not so much. average program that is on the downward trajectory, in a total dump of a town - with no hope of competing in that conference.

not at all. SMU is pretty stacked next year, and as good as Keith is, he's not head & shoulders above any of the guards on our roster. He's not even definitively better than Sterling Brown who is committed

Correct. Plus, Larry Brown doesn't strike me as the type of guy who will give playing time until it's earned, much less guaranty playing time to a recruit.

In fact, Moreira said that was one of the things he liked about LB. Said LB didn't guaranty playing time, just promised if he worked hard enough and learned, LB would prep him for the NBA. I love it but not every kid's going to like that which is fine with me since LB won't have to BS and will have enough kids to kick arss.

Wonder if LB would have taken on Sasser, and if so what that relationship would have been like. Seems to me that Sasser had an enormous amount of talent that was wasted due to lack of coaching and direction.
