I resemble that remark. I must confess that a supply officer on a destroyer for two years in the Sixth Fleet, Mediterranean, was not bad duty, but somebody had to do it. My brother was in West Pac on a DE, the Hepburn.

Ah, the simple life. Join the Navy and see the world was often overstated, but not in my case.

Take care

Well of course--we had to cheat with some very good players to insure success.

JT, if you think the Pony Express was the only 'Pay-for-Play' team, then (to use Stallion's favorite words) you're an idiot.

I don't think that at all, idiot (to use your word). I KNOW they were the only ones to get the death penalty for it, and I'd like to go on record now and thank all of the cheating bastards of the 80's--coaches, board members, players, secretaries and water boys--for causing me to have to attend two soccer homecoming games in 1987 and 1988. I really enjoyed my last two college falls without football, @ssholes!!. Every last stinking cheating player who took a dime ought to give it back, and see if that helps the athletic department, rather than the athletic department looking to all of us.
