how about Jalen tonight...15 boards and 13 pts. Hope he's alright after that hard foul. I'm sure he will wake up a little sore tomorrow

Game had no rhythm for either team. SMU appeared to be constantly confused as to where a pass should be thrown and player spacing. There were too many bad passes, soft 3 foot lob type lay ups that resulted in 7 blocks, out of control penetration attempts into the paint with no clue where to pass if they got blocked out of the penetration. We are going to need a bonus payment to keep LB from going crazy. These kids have yet to learn what he is trying to teach them from every aspect. Disappointing.

His post game he really commended the guys. All of them including the transfers. You can tell he Hayes to lose, but he seems to hint he likes where we are going next year.

Hate to keep saying next year, but if our transfers were playing this year we would be winning most of these close ones.

Jalen will be walking funny for a few days, that is for sure. I didn't see the replay, but in live game speed at the game it just looked like a hard foul. Two big dudes going full speed and meet in the air is never going to end well.

Jalen has crazy heart. He actually deserves more touches w/his efficiency. Also, let him face more. Having a great year. Thought Goodwin followed through w/the body at high elevation. Thats just dangerous, unless you attempt to catch the guy on the way down.

My take on the foul was that Goodwin put a face high follow through forearm right into Jalen's arms and face totally up-ending him. Goodwin's body may have had some impact, but it was the follow through and high angle that made it impossible for Jalen to maintain any balance in the air.

1) Frustrating game - but expected.
2) We as a crowd have got to learn how to cheer. Half the crowd chanting one thing, the other half trying to cheer something else at the same time. Then our scoreboard says "DE-FENSE" when we are on offense.

And yes our talent and bench will get a big boost next year! But unfortunately/Fortunately, our conference schedule will get a bigger boost! Guessing Memphis is a middle of the road BE team this year, so I guess it was nice that we hung with them last night. If Shawn hit that 3 when we were down by 6, place would have erupted.

Excited about the future......just hurry up and get here!

I definitely agree, and I think it will come naturally once more students attend regularly. All of that stuff can only truly originate with a strong student presence.

I fear this ship has already sailed, but it is essential for the configuration of the New Moody to get as many students as possible as close to the floor as possible. I fully understand the need to make a number of good seats available to the big bucks boosters, but it is unforgivable to have half of the good seats unoccupied and students in the rafters.

We also have to figure out how to get a greater percentage of people there for the tip, although I think that is a Dallas thing we are not going to be able to solve.

On the bright side, they finally started letting people bring the big heads in to Moody!

A lot of people including me spent too much time trying to find a place to park - after sitting in the traffic on Mockingbird. Events at Meadows Museum and Meadows and the ball game had traffic moving at a snails pace. Then, Binkley was full and then got directed to Meadows. No coordination by the parking folks whatsoever and no traffic assist from SMU police.....Bush league............

SMU is an urban university. It's not realistic to expect it to be like pulling up at Wal-Mart. Take the train.

No they did not let us bring the heads in. We were told not to bring them in. So we walked around the corner put them under the shirts of guys who were wearing big jackets. It was a bunch of crap, BUT they did not bug us once we got them in. We were pretty convinced they were going to kick us out once we started showing them, but they did not so that's good. Hopefully next game they wont give us grief about it on the way in.

SMU did a good job showing the fraternities on the big screen. A lot of our guys (and the girls around us) were really excited how much we got on the screen and were talking about how we need to come to the next game. Everyone came tonight because they offred "party points" 50 % attendance from chapters got us 3 points. It's that or we spend all day at the soup kitchen. If they want to fill the stadium they need to make it 1 point every game for 75 % attendance. That way if fraternities attend every home game of the season they will basically cover all the points they need for the semester. And then require one community service event just because. Everyone would do that I guarantee it. If every fraternity on campus showed up with 75 % for every game the atmosphere would be very rowdy.

Also everyone is very confused where exactly the student section is. We were on one side with another fraternity and a sorority. The other side had two fraternities and sororities as well. Then the bleachers on the floor had a fraternity and a few from another ones. They need to put us all together. I agree the chants were messed up, because we were all spread out its a lot harder to coordinate then if we had an established section. I don't know if there is an actual section but if there is none of the students listen to it. We were all over the stadium which is dumb if we are trying to have a rowdy atmosphere.

Tweet pr email Hart about it. I hope he looks into that. You should be able to bring the cutouts in the games.
