the classy uniforms was the first thing I noticed-the second thing was that I had forgotten Reggie Phillips had been a 2nd round draft choice and had scored a TD in the Super Bowl. Add him to the long list of CBs who would have started over anybody since DP.

That is more like it. I hate those negative stats like most kickoff return yards. How do people think a guy gets that amount of kickoff return yards? Its because people are kicking off to him about 5-8 times per game.
PK- If there were no such thing as mirrors, I would be YoungPony. Unfortunately, I has lasik earlier this year and since then the mirrors have really turned ugly. Maybe it doesn't have to do with age but miles? The best part is that there are fewer people each year who can remember the truth when I tell them how good I was.

He was here in 1984--he contibuted to the cause of the Death Penalty and therefore should donate all the money he got back to Mustang athletics.

BTW, this young guy thinks that is a great uniform, too. Bring it back. Bring it back. Bring it back.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

How depressing is it to insist on living that far in the past? Yes, we had some great teams then. Enjoy the memory. And get psychological help to learn what it's like to support someone (i.e. the current Mustangs) once in a while.

Man...I avoid mirrors at all cost... that does, however, make shaving hazardous. The twenty something trapped in my body screams quite often.

I agree that it is time to bring the pre-DP uniforms back, they are so much cooler. It's a classic look, unlike anybody else in college. But here's the real question: Are they really all that better-looking a uniform, or do we just prefer them because they were worn when we used to kick people's *sses? I don't know. But I daresay, had we been a top 25 team the past three years, few of us would be complaining about what our players are presently wearing. We'd be hailing Bennett for the "new look."

That said, the old uniforms should definitely be brought back. They just look more distinctive and traditional, and we need something like that.

The fact that we kicked major *ss in those uniforms is certainly a plus, but they should be brought back because they are the best we have ever had. They are classic and thus could be worn for a long time without ending up with a dated look.

I don't think it is happening this year. My source tells me the changes to the uniforms this year are relatively minor.

Be careful what you offer, LHP. You might need that vital organ so you can be alive to attend some games. After all, we need every living body we can get in the stands.

Well, when and if the Ponies get to a bowl game again, it would be nice for them to go with throwback or retro unies much like LSU did in the Independence bowl a few years back vs. Notre Dame.

Come to think of it, how about a throwback game every year, like say TCU?

When everyone doubles their contributions to the Mustang Club maybe we can afford the luxury of buying an additional set of uniforms to be worn for only one game a year.
