Hey Alex-
I'm doing very well, thanks. I missed the Spring Game and the Happy Hour because of being out of town. How are you and the Mrs. doing?
APPALACHIAN NAMES COBB ATHLETICS DIRECTOR
by Appalachian Sports Information May 11, 2005 BOONE, N.C. — Charles Cobb, a member of the athletics department at North Carolina State University the past seven years, has been named athletics director at Appalachian State University, ASU chancellor Dr. Kenneth E. Peacock announced on Wednesday. Cobb is expected to assume the position on July 1, 2005.
Appalachian State University's mistake is our gain.
For Scott's sake, I am sorry he did not get the job, but for our sake, I am glad he didn't. Talk about mixed emotions. Just send 'da money.
I'd be willing to bet no such decision has been made. I'm sure that whenever Copeland decides to retire, a search will be conducted. Secules might well be a candidate, but there's no way a decision about Copeland's successor has been made at this point.
"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
... "Hit it."
We don't need to hire another spare. We need to land a "Hyman-type" to hit the Hilltop runnin', run-off some of the "hangers-on", raise the bar, and institute a high level of accountability. Now, whether you can get a high calibur individual to touch the SMU situation with a 10-foot pole is another question.
