that's correct-players weren't the same, Klemm had to start 4 freshman OLM at the end of the year. UCLA's line was incredibly inexperienced-you rarely see anything like that

Can we let the Klemm thing go already? He's not here anymore. The reasons for that can be speculated upon but assuming June is to blame is not the answer.

Assuming June isn't to blame is not the answer either.
nobody particularly cares why Klemm left any more. We particularly care why we have half a Coaching Staff over 60 and why he hasn't been replaced by someone young and agressive that recruits

That appears to be the trend in college football, programs going with the younger staffs. Of course there are the exceptions but the these schools with an older HC are hiring younger assistants not older. We have an older coaching staff, I believe it needs to get younger. It's the "Keeping up with the Jones's" mentality. You have to have luxury suits, club suits, the latest playing surface, HD Video boards, IPF's, etc...
With the new recruiting rules that take effect Aug 1st all coaches on staff will have to recruit. So it will be as the saying goes "Recruit or Perish."
