I have thought all along that he might be an interesting fit at TE. Don't know his catching ability but he is a natural athlete and I bet he could excel there. Probably more so than DE.

I just don't see it. I think he's a 3-4 end in the NFL, and he can be one for many years.

Agree, I could see it for Taylor Thompson but not for Margus, he's too big and physical to put at TE, plus I don't see him being a Jimmy Graham type natural pass-catcher. Think if he'd play anywhere on offense he'd project better at a tackle position but even that I'm not sure of, Margus just screams 3-4 DE to me.

Nice nugget in the NationalFootballPost's "scout talk" section:

Margus Hunt, Southern Methodist DE-His maturity and love of the game made him stand out to NFL decision makers. He also showed a solid commitment.

Didn't know if anyone had seen but Gil Brandt has Margus going 24th to the Colts in his latest mock draft. Everything I have read has been extremely positive, this little blurb is no exception. What a great combine for the big man, can't wait to see what he is capable of on Sundays.

The Packers beat writers have mentioned him in nearly every column since his workout. No way he slips out of the first round.

Here's a 10 minute long interview with him on NFL AM from last week

An article from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel with a quote from a former SMU & Detroit Lions DL coach Bert Hill on Margus:
"There are times when he's unblockable," said Hill, who previously was a Lions assistant defensive line coach. "Then there were times on film when it looked like he didn't really know he was playing football. The lights came on for him about halfway through senior year. The guy just started playing lights-out.
"I was in the NFL for 13 years and I never saw a guy like him. Not with his abilities that he has right now, no, I didn't see a guy."
