Look on the bright side Stallion...at least they are listing these in the bottom 10 and not the top 10 greatest....next up #84, Stallion graduates...oops, guess not, these are football highlights.

Don't fret it - I am sure your Cavan victory over Kansas will be up there, too.

This is a VERY WEAK "big" moment in SMU football history. Surely they are going to do better than this for the remainder. #85 clealy tests the credibility of the list.

Although it was a fantastic evening, and an incredible way to open up the stadium, it was not "the greatest win in the history of SMU football" as Mike C. put it. But it was a great atmosphere, great tailgaiting and fun unmatched at the stadium since.

I'll be glad when we can no longer say that.

Mike Cavan's first win will be number 83, and bennet's second win, who knows how high a number it will be assigned.

Cavan's firing should be in the top 25.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I thought 85 would be the time Hayden Fry had a flat on his Mustang or maybe when Don Meredith drank a little too much beer one Saturday. But maybe the post is right... it is just so difficult to choose.
At present rate JT (I address this to you becuase you were on the same track)- How many years before Bennett gets a real milestone like say 100?

The vast majority of us are PonyFans.
Our coach is Phil Bennett.
There is no reason to belittle Coach B's first win -- and here's hoping for many many more!

We'd better see "greatest moments" assigned to the first victories for Ron Meyer and Bobby Collins. If not, this list's credibility will be even more in question. Payroll problems or not, the early 80s Ponies are the ONLY occurrence that has kept SMU somewhere in the national spotlight in the last 50 years.
