Last Spring, I saw a SMU Mustang golfer playing in the Masters. That gets my vote.

Up to an 11 seed. Playing vs Delaware, who has one of the best players in the nation. http://espn.go.com/ncw/bracketology

Same opponent and location as last week, except we moved down to a 12 seed and they moved up to a 5 seed

Do we have to win the tournament to secure our bid or do we have a chance to get an at large bid?????

Yeah, but theirs is 6'5" ... and plays guard. She's averaging 25.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and has 58 blocked shots. There are some out there who think she's as good as Griner at Baylor, but just doesn't get any attention because she plays at Delaware. http://www.bluehens.com/sportsinfo/wome ... amcume.htmNo idea about at-large possibilities.

Delle Donne is ridiculous, the #1 player in the country coming out of high school and she's not even XXY

I would not feel safe if we don't win the tournament. Our RPI is borderline at best and we don't have any wins against a top 75 team.

That she is. She originally committed to UConn but only spent one day during the summer in Storrs, then returned to Delaware (I won't even get into the mess that was). Wasn't sure if she ever wanted to play basketball again and instead played a year of Volleyball for U. of Delaware before deciding to return to basketball. She's big, but plays like a gifted guard - a heck of a combination. She went to the same very small private school as my daughter until the 7th grade when she switched to women's basketball powerhouse (for Delaware) Ursuline Academy. If SMU does end up in Newark, I will be there with bells on and screaming for SMU. Keeping fingers crossed!!!

Given that the Uconn Women's team is the biggest draw in the US, I expect the women's conference tourney to return to Hartford.
Next year, look for me and my toddler sitting behind the Mustangs bench.

That would be cool to give us a taste of next season.
