Got a note from PonyFan ponywhupp9202, whose son (9 years old - fourth grade) was asked to write a mini-story about someone inspirational for his class. His offering:

I was a few years older but I remember getting Lance Alworth's autograph and feeling the same as this young man.

If you're going to bust a 9 year old for spelling, at least notice that there is another E in BEASLEY, too.

This is really cool. I can't remember the name of the first college athlete I met (when I was about 8 or 10), but I remember thinking it was the coolest thing that would ever happen to me, and that he was the greatest player who ever lived. I don't even remember if he played for Houston or was playing against Houston. Either way, I was crushed when he didn't make the NBA, because just shaking my hand and talking to me for a few minutes was awesome.

So glad this young man had such a great experience with Cole, and kudos to Cole for making such a great impression.
