I am on the other side of the world so I typically miss these games, but I make it a point to read every post.

Frustration became bemusement as time and time again we squander first half leads. I go from page to page waiting for the invariable melt-down.

Glad to see we finally closed one.

Yes - and everyone knows its coming but can't seem to stop it. If we can just get a little momentum off this win.

When we came back against Tulsa only to lose at the last second in January, I penciled this one in as a win. But as the season wore on, I began to have my doubts. Glad my first instinct was correct

I followed the entire game and see a lot of good coming out of that win last night. Maybe the most important thing was that we won at Tulsa...where the CUSA Tourney is going to be played...and beat the host team when they were fighting for a 1st round bye.

We've come a long ways this year and several of the guys have really improved...it was obvious to the Tulsa announcers, too. I thought we had great spacing and ball movement; got good shots and ultimately shot a high percentage...again! This team is working for good shots and everybody is contributing. Jalen had another so-so night but Uche really played well off the bench. It was good to see all the bench guys get more minutes. It might have helped when Tulsa turned up the defensive pressure with about 8 minutes to play and we were able to avoid a meltdown. Starters seemed to finish the game with more energy.

Cannen looks really smooth out there. I'm thinking the nickname "silk" would fit. He's playing with confidence...but was too relaxed at times and had a couple of careless turnovers (on some very casual handoffs against defensive pressure). While Jalen was our most improved during the early part of the season, I'm now looking at Cannen and Shawn as the 2 who have really stepped up their games of late. Both played good D last night

The down side is the lack of a true PG. Nick has been steady all year, but did not look comfortable having to take charge late. Neither did Ryan, but to their credit, they hung tough, took fouls and made FTs when they had to.

Sorry about the long winded post but I was excited about what I saw last night. Let's see if the guys can take UTEP and go into the tourney with some serious "mo"

Good point, Treadway. I remember the first time I saw the post-game videos, I thought LB was nuts when he said Cannen was always the best player on the floor. But he could play defense only and have a major impact on the game. He's a real joy to watch.
