It just dawned on me that we are ten years away from the 100th anniversary of SMU football. I wonder if that is enough time for us to string together ten more "great moments" to fill out that future "greatest moments" list.

Would you prefer the 1982 Cotton Bowl win be number 84? There are not 90 "greatest moments" all with the same level of signifcance in SMU history and if you are going to totally ignor everything accompolished since the DP, then you are just mean as MM65 claims. The great moments of the 80's that you are hungering for aren't going to show up at the bottom of the list. So once again...chill out.

The problem with ‘Top’ lists is they are typically skewed towards the contemporary. Bennett’s first victory is of no more significance than any other SMU coaches’ first victory, yet I suspect his will be the only one recognized.

What part of the bottom of the list do you not get? Hell, most, if not all, of the post dp moments are going to be at the bottom of the list...where they belong at this point in time.

And for the record, I think Doak winning the Hiesman Award (the only SMU player to do so) and our National Championship have to be the top two greatest moments.

PK-have you been elected chief of propaganda. Seriously, do you really think that a victory over a short lived Division 1-AA program at home is one of the Top 90 moments in SMU history. Don't defend the asinine. BTW I'll definitely vote the "Throw-Back" (Blane Smith to Bobby Leach at Tech) over the Pitch(McIllhenney to James at UT) as Number One but I would love to hear someone who was at that 1935 SMU-TCU game describe the insanity of Bob Finley's last munute TD Bomb in one of the greatest games of the Century in Texas.
