I personally felt much more pride in the early 90s, when we took a lead vs. Wisconsin into the fourth quarter, nearly Beat UCLA, and then got revenge against Houston. That game was a complete waste, didn't do us any good then or in the games after that.
Listen Bud, I'm sorry I called you Bud. Of course the game meant nothing except at least we didn't win it by a single point or a mere field goal...that would have been embarassing, but we won big as
we should have and it felt good to win one big. Our next game was Tulsa and we beat them too, but our last game was TCU and we lost that one. Had the San Jose game not been cancelled earlier in the season, we might have wound up with a 5-6 season...not great, but better than recently. The significance of it all was that it was our last game in the Cotton Bowl, it was a high scoring game and our good freshman got a chance to shine. As prideful as the game in '92 when we got our revenge on Houston and the game in '93 when we stayed close to Wisconsin, or in '94 when we gave UCLA a good scare?...of course not, but then neither was our stomping of Gramblin back in '81. Peace brother.
