Looking forward to Jan 2014

Will we open conference play at Moody against defending NCAA champs Louisville (they are my pick to win it all this year, and my first choice of schools to open Moody against)? And will we sellout the new barn? I know there's plenty of time to build up next year but I'm already starting.
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs

Louisville will be in the ACC.

I'd say to hope for UConn but be prepared to get Cincinnati or Temple.

Think Louisville and Rutgers have one more year left in the Big East for all sports

If they still have one more year, then that is a reasonable request.

Does SMU have much of a basketball history with Cincinnati, Louisville, Rutgers, Temple or UConn?

Don't believe we've played any of them in at least the last 20 - 25 years..........

I'd like to think the new Moody will open much like Ford Stadium did and be sold out (or very close to it) no matter who we play. I'd also like to think w are going to put a much better team on the court next year that will be 2 deep at every position with some really good competition for playing time...but having said that, I think we will still be a year away from having a team that can compete with anyone in our conference.

Next year, I think we are still looking up at Louisville (assuming the are still in the conference), Cincy, UConn & Memphis but by the time this year's sophs are seniors and have been playing with their new teammates for more than a full season...along with some potential impact recruits for the 2014-2015 season, SMU should be a handful

If there is an upside to the disappointing final record, it is that other teams are unlikely to try to catch LB's wandering eye during the offseason.

That gives us the 2013-14 in the bag with LB at the helm.
