Of course we're the most negative. We: (1) Want what's best more than any non-SMUer; and (2) We know more about why we've had the problems we have had than anyone else.

Fans who think we know more than the AD, even an AD who hasn't been here that long, are the very reason we're not ADs ourselves. We don't know everything he plans to do or wants to do, but he has access to more information than we'll ever dream of.

I'm exceedingly impressed by Hart in these interviews. It's hard to believe he gave that much time, and answered as much as he did. The comment about things not being quantified is legit, although there are probably some things he can't quantify (financially, etc.) because of ongoing negotiations and planning, but I also would have liked to see more of that.

Excellent interviews PP. It was great that AD Hart was willing to spend that much time to talk to all of us. Thanks.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

So if he gives an interview it is just meaningless AD speak, but if he doesn't give any interviews he is not being visible enough. Seems like he can't win.

1. I never complained about his visibility.

2. He could give a substantive interview and not make blatant lies like the soccer facility EW at Pettus

I didn't say you had. I should have said he can't please everyone.

Not sure how you can say his comment about the soccer facility and Pettus is a lie, since he said "probably" or "possibly." There was nothing definitive about his comment, or was there something I missed?

I'm glad to see him do an interview like this, and I thought he came across really well. I'm more excited and encouraged than I was before we heard him address these things.

If those posting above are correct then Pettus was never in consideration. He would know that and was Intentionally misleading. Thus the whole interview is suspect.

So just to be clear you are calling him a liar because someone posting anonymously said something that contradicts him?

This is ridiculous. If Pettus weren't at least under consideration, he wouldn't have said it - it would serve no purpose.

Great interview by both parties. Thanks for doing this.

But that's just it. Those posting above are not correct. So you have thrown out the whole interview based on reliance on posts by people who don't know what they are talking about.

Pettus has been under consideration for a while and would fit a soccer field.

Attack Hart all you want but this assault was weak.

No, don't attack him. Support him. Until he gives you a reason not to, we all need to support him. This was a very impressive interview PP did, and is very encouraging. I was unsure about Hart when he was quiet, but I'm coming around.
