What are realistic expectations for next year?

IF next years team had played this years schedule, 25 wins. I bet we schedule up in a big way next year. Larry Brown strikes me as knowing nothing about RPI or SOS, other than he needs to play a tough schedule being SMU. I'd love to see his program as road warrior the way Tarks teams were. They never got home & homes, just played the best wherever they had hoops and lights. Brown probably doesnt have to do that, but talk about finding out what you have. Who can play, who can't

I would love if SMU basketball was as fun to watch as Tark the Shark, minus ncaa violations of course.

Any post season play would be good next year.

true, but CIT would fall short of my expectations and I think most people's, including this coaching staff. We are already very competitive with that level of teams (Tulane and ECU)

It will be interesting to see how the freshman fares, and Mays needs to have an outstanding year, but I'm not sure how we replace Filmore. Wilkins is going to have to play a much bigger role.

Can't wait to see Nic Moore in action. I think he's the key to the team.
I predict the O will be much more efficient with him running the show, especially @ crunch time.

bottom line is that SMU needs to "get it together" quickly and contribute to the "to be named" conference being a recognized brand in post season hoops. At whatever tournament level, our new group needs to make some noise right away.
