There isn't one on the 2-deep.

Re: Depth Chart
Why would anyone be written off? If it is determined that Burcham is the #2 guy, that doesn't mean the #3 guy is out of the picture, just that someone else is higher on the pecking order. Who knows, with as many young guys as will play on the offensive line, we might well need all 3 of them this year.RyanSMU98 wrote:Since Burcham is listed as the #2 QB, I guess this means we have written off Preston at this point?

Re: Depth Chart
what jumps out at you is the lack of experience on both the OL and DL. No doubt that will be the key to whether we can compete next year

Re: Depth Chart
o line feels solid to me. the D line does not feel solid at all. Hope we don't end up with two undersized inside linebackers - that combined with inexperience on the D line will make for some long days on defense.

Re: Depth Chart
Looking at those updated weights a few things stuck out:
Stephon Sanders is up to 250?! Wow.
Kris Weeks up to 310 and projected to start on the interior.
Randall Joyner is up to damn near 240.

Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Depth Chart
Sanders and Joyner jumped out at me, too.
Also surprising me is Briggs being down to 295 (wasn't he over 330 last year?).
Thanks for the update, SMUSID

For some reason I got excited that Kris Briggs still had some eligibility.

Maybe true, but...ojaipony wrote:This depth chart is pretty meaningless at this point
I'm not sure what we have a DE yet, but I think you'll be happy with either Pope or Yenga opposite Joyner. Of all the things we may be worrying about, I don't think that needs to be one of them.ojaipony wrote:I'm really concerned at the LB spot opposite Joyner and both DE spots.
No kidding! I have no issue whatsoever with JJ. But the rest need to step up in a hurry! I'm expecting a quality game from DJ2 this year, but I'm also wondering how soon we'll see Jeremiah Gaines and/or JaBryce Taylor.I hope those guys show up in shape because I think there's a real opportunity for those guys to play early.ojaipony wrote:And, can we have a WR step up as a go to guy please? I think JJ is a good possession type receiver and we know Thompson has jets, but not extremely reliable. Here's hoping Gaines and/or Taylor can step in and make an immediate major impact there.
