If we were to get Frazier, would he be a point or a shooting 2? I have never seen him play.

I dont feel good about this one. If he were sold on SMU he would have committed already. Sounds like he's waiting for the Tech coaching situation to be resolved and what happens to Walker before making a decision. But, again, if he was thinking SMU he would've committed to us today.

edit: with that said, I like that LB has another week or so to make his case.

not so sure EC - thats what i thought yesterday - but if they are interviewing coaches than they are saying pretty loud and clear that they dont give a flip about KF and his preferences, and want the best coach they can find separate from what KF might like. that wont change in a week.

Maybe you're right. I hope so. Who knows? 18 year olds are nuts. I was smoking pot out of two liter soda bottles at age 18.

Regardless, we're going to be a solid team next year in my opinion. Adding Nic Moore, Sterling Brown, and Crandall to the backcourt; and Moriera, Blaise (off redshirt), Ben Moore, and Kennedy to the frontcourt.

KF's representatives have made it clear to the TT athletic staff that his commitment is contingent to them retaining Walker.

KF's people are savvy enough to delay the announcement in terms of " needing time to think throughout the biggest decision of his life" rather than as an ultimatum to the TT staff. The effect they know would be 2 fold:
1.Should TT staff retain Walker - there would be talk that he wasn't really the best candidate but was retained to land a 5 star recruit.
2. If TT doesn't retain Walker and KF commits to SMU then the SMU people say he really prefers TT And doesn't really want to be here.

My bet is that the TT AD is smart enough not to base a coaching decision on the ability to land KF. It's not like he is Shaquille Oneil or something. I bet they hire an established head coach or a guy from a big program. They have to get this hire right after all the turmoil.
Walker will not be hired as head coach but they may try to keep him as a " coach in waiting". Let some older guy mentor him.

I bet KF lands at SMU saying it was where he wanted to be all along. He is getting good advice.

If he comes here I'm ok with people claiming that he preferred tech

I was speaking more to where i thought he would add the most value to SMU - and i would think for us that would be the 2 guard spot where you want him basically to shoot every time he touches the ball. Wasnt saying he couldnt play point - just that we could use him better at 2
