RIP Jack Pardee...

Post by austinponie »

Interesting career..
Part of the Juction Boys at A&M.
Really liked his run n' shoot with UH and the Oilers.

Just didn't like 1,021 yards and 95 points against the '89 Ponies  .
RIP, Jack..

He was the Redskins Defensive Coordinator for many years. Wasn't he also the head coach of the Houston Gamblers of the USFL and had an assistant coach by the name of June Jones.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

So what? I"ll reserve my RIP for Jerry Glanville who retaliated for Jack being a world class jerk.

Still pist at Phillip Arbuckle for the 146-3 drubbing in the infamous 1916 contest. He may be the winningest coach in Rice football history but he (also) is still a chickensh!t.

You'd think 97 years and seventeen U.S. presidents would lessen the pain.

Jenkins certainly deserves a lot of the blame for throwing for 1,000+ yards against us, since Pardee's Redskins teams had among the most boring offenses in the history of football. It also doesn't matter who the coordinator was. Pardee was the head coach and if he had a shred of class or dignity, he would have called off the dogs when his team was running up the score on a bunch of undersized and outmanned freshmen.

In 1975, Pardee was hired by the Chicago Bears as head coach. He spent the next three years there, leading Chicago to their first playoff berth in 14 years in 1977, before moving on to the Washington Redskins.
