It's a pretty poor name. I never really heard one I liked though. They just should have kept the Big East

At least we can go by AAC and confuse people who maybe think we're in the ACC.

at least it doesn't have a number and the over use word "Big". It's not that bad.

It's at the very, very, very top of all conference lists. Can't get to any others w/o seeing the AAC. Not bad. Not great. Woulda been happy w/ Metro, or American Metro Conf.

But, let's be real, unless it was SunBeast, no one was going to be happy.

Not bad IMO. There wasnt a single name that people weren't going to rip on, but this isn't bad. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the logo

To that point, in the big east official story on their site, the Chairman of CBS sports refers to it as The American...

I really hope the go with AAC as the nickname and not The American

It's going to be branded as "The American." I like that better, AAC is too close to ACC

Also, we will be the only team without both baseball and men's track.... for the first season and still even when Tulsa/Tulane/ECU/Navy join.
