Injuries rocked the SMU secondary in 2012, with four Mustangs going out for the season after getting hurt. Few people realized that cornerback Chris Parks also was playing hurt, but the then-junior played all 13 games and was one of the Mustangs' top tacklers despite a knee injury that required post-season surgery.

Re: CHRIS PARKS: Playing hurt
Good read.
However, I think Parks may be the #4 corner by the start of the season.

Re: CHRIS PARKS: Playing hurt
I didn't realize he ranked that high in tackles, and having had a torn meniscus, I know how painful that can be. To play through it ... that makes Chris Parks a seriously tough dude.

Re: CHRIS PARKS: Playing hurt
let's hope that with all these guys running on "healthy wheels" we are much improved in the secondary because I'm not sure we will be able to pressure QBs as well as we have in recent years

Re: CHRIS PARKS: Playing hurt
Every CB gets beat sometimes, and yeah, Parks did, too. But he played every game and made a lot of tackles. With Richardson (x2) out and a lot of the other CBs just freshmen, I hate to think where we would have been without Parks. He's not Revis, but he came through for us.
Hope he's 100% now.
