If we play our basketball tournament at the American Airlines Center it can be billed as the:

AAC at the AAC

Still like American Metro Conf better but whatevs. If they are gonna go by The American then why bother calling it American athletic Conf?

Because the NFL has "American Conference" trademarked as a derivative of AFC

Too bad the All american Conference name has been used before. Want to start an over/under pool and how long this new group lasts before another round of school changes occurs and we change somethign again?

The AAC will get top billing on a lot of websites, ahead of the American East and ACC and all the "Big" whatevers

Wonder if that was part of the marketing strategy?
