I think Jalen and Shawn battle it out for the starting 3 spot

This statement makes me think you did not watch a game all year.

Brown can play match-ups next year. If he needs a small line up, he's got it. If he needs a big brutal line-up he's got that. As we saw this year with Kentucky managing egos and keeping the locker room sane is the most important part to a successful season when you have a stacked team. And as Louisville proved, you don't need a bunch of McDonald's All Americans to win the dance. Give Pitino credit. Those guys went to war with Michigan and came out on top.

Shawn had stretches where he was one of our most effective 3 pt threats and played pretty good D at the 3 position. Jalen played the 4. I watched almost every game and while I think the spot should be Jalen's, he needs to work on his shot. The vast majority of his shots came near the paint. I think they may share minutes at the 3 next season

Saw every home game up close. Only time we had a chance to win was when Jalen was in the game. Do not see him sharing minutes with anyone.

I think shawn will have a hard time getting on the court next year. He really isnt a three.

JJ will have a hard time coming off the court.

It'll be interesting to see how Ben Moore fits in the mix. He's listed as a 4 but he is very thin. He may be able to play the 3 as well. He was offered by some major programs - Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri, so I'm sure he can play.

We're pretty deep so I doubt he gets some serious burn as a freshman. I'm not sure how much playing time is available for Sterling either. Keith and Yanick will obviously play.

I dont think its a given Keith plays over Sterling at all. They both come in w/a clean slate, and Sterling is physically more mature, and plays better d by rep

I think he will get more rest this year because of the bench. Head is very athletic and could share some time with Jalen.

All I am saying is that I do not see JJ having to share time with anyone. Coming out regularly to rest or to keep him out of foul trouble, hopefully that will happen but "sharing" a prescribed amount of time I do not see it.

Since neither one of us know how good Crandall is I will let the coaches be the judge on that. If we press I would hope we would have someone good enough to share minutes. Nothing against JJ but if we have an upgrade in talent then we need to share minutes which is what I hope happens. It just means we have more talent on the team next year.

it will be nice that they both don't have to play 39 minutes each for us to even have a chance at a W.

I think the 2 is a 3-way competition. Regarding the previous comment, which i dont recall exactly because it's been obfuscated by margaritas, I just don't see head starting at the 3. Good D but nowhere near the rebounder jalen is, and jalen is a better scorer, albeit mostly because of put-backs. Jalen also is a much bigger spark/leader... Need that attitude on the floor. Nic/Jalen/Kennedy will bring some intimidation and attitude that we haven't seen here in 10 years.

The problem w/Jalen is that people keep putting him at the 3, and he's never played the 3. He's shown no ability to face, other than a few 3s and a one dribble move from the elbow. Unless he plays big, all bets are off vs the wings.
