Post by PonyPride »

According to KFFL.com, Margus:

• Was scheduled to work out April 10 for the Dallas Cowboys

• Had workout scheduled (date unknown) with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

• Is a possible target for the San Francisco 49ers, who interviewed him at the Combine and had team representatives at SMU's Pro Day

• "Won't get past the first round" according to an NFL scout interviewed by the site.

The papers up here have said that Denver likes him a lot, too, but we're a long way from Denver.

Lot of rumors going around that the Falcons really like him, and there are several published reports out there now saying Atlanta brought him in for a visit.

Hey, I speculated much later due to his green experience. Looks like I was very wrong and as I said at the time I made that prediction I will be very happy to be wrong.

Count me in as one of those who felt and stated, that due to exp and learning cure remaining, Margus would be a 2nd or 3rd round pick. This had nothing to do with talent or upside; I just thought a 1st round pick was ambitious. I’ll be happy to eat those words.

A lot of teams are looking for 3-4 outside linemen. And there are not a lot of prospects out there. His upside is tremendous. His downside would be that he would merely be an excellent special teams player. Depending on how the draft plays out he could be picked in the late first round or early second round. Unfortunately, he won't be around when the Redskins pick in the Second round. I'd like to see him as insurance for another season without Orakpo.

Colts bringing in Margus for a 2 day, pre-draft visit. They have the #24 pick in the 1st round. I don't think he would slip to the #24 pick in the 2nd round.
