Quarterback skills

Post by MV pony »

Eli and Peyton Manning are turning to Duke's coach Cutliff again for a review of QB fundamentals. Manziel did something similar with a QB guru last year and is going to repeat this year. Here's hoping GG does the same during the offseason to lessen interceptions and improve his completion percentages.

He's already being coached everyday by a QB guru...two, if you count Morrison, two and a half if you grant that Tim Chang is at the very least an expert.

3 1/2...include Mumme. Sherrington had an online blurb saying Garret should have learned enough from June. If he can't learn from June & Mumme- two gurus- it ain't happening.

I hear what you 're saying and please don't get me wrong. I think our coaches are great and our QBs do get a lot of practice. But there is a growing list of college QBs that are turning to QB gurus/tutors for help during the offseason ( i.e., a week or more of one-on-one work). These include, for example, Landry Jones and Aaron Murray (Sooners), Bryce Petty (Baylor), Tajh Boyd and Chad Kelly (Clemson), Muncie Legeaux (Cinn), Vad Lee (GA Tech), Max Wittek (USC), Logan Thomas (Va. Tech) and Braxton Miller (Ohio State). [Please forgive the misspelling of any names.]. I know our QBs are talented but if this type of offseason work would give them an edge, I hope they take it.

I suspect GG has NFL aspirations.
