Steelers matched the offer sheet for Emmanuel. He's staying in Pittsburgh

I'm glad he's staying w/the Steelers. Good to read that Big Ben was in ES's corner....I hope the Steelers use him and he really continues to become a play maker for them.

Let's hope he uses that SMU education and saves most of that 2.5m. Don't want ES ending up like so many professionals - broke. Certainly he's one of the wise ones. Always seemed to have his head on straight.

I've heard from some mutual friends that he (at least earlier in his career) was going out in pit every other night blowing all his money throwing parties and renting out bars. Hopefully he hired a financial manager and got his [deleted] together, but I know at least earlier on, he was being a moron

Sanders must think that Christmas came early this year. He's the winner in a mini-bidding war for him between the Steelers & Patriots.

I wish he would have ended up with the Pats.

It's better for his career that he stayed in pitt. The pats have a history of tossing aside very capable wide recievers after a season or two. He's going to start with the steelers and there was no guarentee he would have with the pats.

i.e. Brandon Loyd, Donte Stallworth (twice), Chad Ochocinco, Deon Branch (yes they brought him back) and got rid of Welker after he had one of the most productive 5-6 season runs of nearly any WR in NFL history.

This will be better for him since he'll only really have to play second fiddle to antonio brown as opposed to gronk, arron hernandez, amendola and maybe even branch.

He's almost a guaranteed starter in Pittsburgh now, right?
Can't hurt to have your QB lobbying to keep you, either. If he likes Sanders that much, he might like him enough to look for him even more this year.

yeah, the QB had a lot to do with his re-signing. he wanted to have at least on WR he knew this year. i hope ES has a great year.
