I'm with you on this one. I can see the IPF as one of those "we have the big-time facilities" type of investments, but in terms of preparing players for the conditions they will actually experience in a game, don't you think it hurts more than helps? First few games are going to be hotter than hell; better be ready for it rather than practice in an air-conditioned indoor facility. We complained last year at the TCU game that our guys weren't prepared to play in the cold and rain. What better way to do that than to actually practice in the cold and rain?PoconoPony wrote:Until the day we play our home games in a dome stadium we should just get used to practicing outside. As a high school player I can remember at least 3 weeks of practice in temperatures in the 20s or lower. Unless lightening is the issue, just practice.

Yea, we got hammered by Navy that didnt attempt one pass the whole game. The R&S will always lose a rain game.

Even with near All-Americans RBs on our roster
Re: Practice cancelled again due to weather
This logic makes no sense. Practice was cancelled. Has nothing to do with where we play/what conditions we practice in. It has more to do with us missing reps while our competition is practicingPoconoPony wrote:Until the day we play our home games in a dome stadium we should just get used to practicing outside. Yeah, having an IPF hurts more than it helps. That's why Alabama, Notre Dame, LSU, Texas, USC, Ohio State, and Michigan don't have one.RyanSMU98 wrote:I'm with you on this one.
