jstang, over the course of time i have come to find that you hardly ever have decent comments. My guess is from reading your smart [deleted] comments that you must be the kind of man who buys an expensive sports car to compensate for short comings in the bedroom. But alas, you think you are quite clever and feel good about yourself for the high and mighty comments you make. I look forward to reading more of you so wise comments.

It has apparently become tray-tray CHIC to bash this list, but I have to jump on the bandwagon on this particular one. I have a real problem with losses of any kind being included in this thing. Yeah, yeah, I know it's one of the greatest games in NCAA history and all, blah, blah, blah. I've seen the game, it's great. But doesn't this game belong on BYU's list? I mean come on seriously. Blowing a 20-point lead with 4:00 left? That's one of our greatest moments?

Great game, though. ESPN Classic staple.

And I have come to find from reading your 3 posts that you are a sunshine-spouting cheerleader whose opinion is of no consequence to true SMU fans like myself who refuse to bury their heads in the sand about the state of affairs out our alma mater. I also note from your board name that you are an apologist for those lying cheating and stealing players, coaches and administrators of the '80s who left the athletic program in the lurch by getting SMU the death penalty. Every last one of them ought to pay over to the athletic department ever last dirty dime they took out of here. Other than that, I got no problem with you.

oh my dear jstang, you once again amaze me. of course, i should probably note that you implying that i am not a true SMU fans makes me chuckle. For future reference, I am from a long line a Mustang fans. I grew up hearing stories of the glory days from relatives who were in attendance for great games like the 1935 TCU game. I heard stories from the family of Bob Finley, of course I assume you being such a great SMU fan that you know every thing about Bob Finley. As for the rampant cheating of the 1980s, I think it is the most disgraceful thing this school has ever encountered. But I will not disgrace the great moments that happened on the football field for those teams. Bobby Leach's kickoff return, Lance scoring against Pitt, Craig taking the pitch for a TD at UT in 1980. As far as an SMU fan goes, I'd be careful who you say is or is not a true SMU fan.

Looks more like a typo to me that has evidently been corrected as the current content reads..."With 18 seconds left and trailing 45-39, BYU blocked an SMU punt and gained control of the ball at the SMU 41 yard line. Well it is only #78 and the point would be that we were good enough to be in a Bowl Game which, as we all know, doesn't happen very often and that the Pony Express had a fairly good day despite the loss.

Seriously, any game that appears on PS2 NCAA Football as one of the classic college games that you can play, even if we lost, deserves to be in the top 90.

very original saying EastWest, except i don't believe i ever said i was bob finley, but thanks for the pointer. you are not the only person to claim an attachment to bob finley. did you know his sister? Jean...hell of a woman, most decent human being i ever knew. and i know Lindsay Turbeville, his granddaughter, so get off your high horse. now, i think its kind of special that his being the 90th anniversity of SMU football it coincides with what would have been Mr. Finley's 90th birthday. I have a feeling Bob will be a part of a great moment or two.....like someone already said we are only in the 70s and I am pretty sure that he'll make an appearance in the top 10
