USAToday: "But as the 10 conference commissioners in the Football Bowl Subdivision meet this week to take care of some unfinished playoff business, there is finally an air of stability in big-time college athletics.
On the eve of these meetings, the ACC announced a "grant of rights" agreement among its 14 members plus Notre Dame through 2026-27. Technically, it means all of those schools have granted their media rights to the conference for the length of the deal. Practically, it has much more significance: Nobody is leaving the ACC anytime soon."

I could have sworn everyone around here was just positive the acc was about to implode. The big 12 also the year before. Next you are going to tell me EJ didn't really have a clue when he found out we are headed to the sec??

I 'm afraid SMU will not leave the AAC during my lifetime and I plan on living a long time.

We've been in four conferences since 1996. I'd say the chances are pretty good we'll see another conference affiliation before you kick the bucket.

I pray you are right! On the plus side, we are in the AAC and not stuck in CUSA. Now that would be a nightmare.

Or the MWC to a lesser degree. Glad we aligned to the East Coast. It hit home last night when watching the Stars and Rangers play last night in LA and San Jose. The games didnt start until 8:30 weren't done until after 11:30 pm. I am happy our games will be on at a decent hour.MV pony wrote:I pray you are right!
