49ers need DLine and they have 2nd pick in round 2. It seems plausible they pick him.

Re: Margus Hunt Draft
I don't think Hunt is worth a 2 or 3....just don't see him having the ability to excel at the next level. And just so u know I am not blinded by bias, I would draft zach line over eddie lacy.

Winner on Margus and over at pick 32! Homers...... Measurables and the underwear olympics are fun, but teams make their picks of the game film.

Agreed. The niners need to address Safety, DE, and tight end. Theyve already gotten a safety, so Margus is in play with that 34th pick.

I think you'll be sorely mistaken on this point. It is tough to take a first round flyer on a guy who was relatively invisible at times in college, but he's athleticism combined with his maturity and hard working nature -- plus his ability to play up on the bigger stage (see bowl games) -- is going to translate to a really nice NFL career. Looking forward to following his continued progress at the next level.

Clearly I am biased as I totally agree with your thoughts on Zach Line drafted over Eddie Lacy...thank you for your kind words. Good luck to all our Ponies!

I agree that a long history of playing at an elite level and film are high priorities for making an NFL pick, but what is purpose of belittling the extraordinary skills of Track & Field athletes? I wish we still had a Men's team.

Fresno State's quarterback Carr played in the underwear olympics in Hawaii last December. As in he had to change his underwear four times during the game.

Re: Margus Hunt Draft
In a backhanded way, it might be better for Margus to be taken later. Expectations and immediate playing time will be postponed while he gets the coaching and experience to ultimately be a real star in the NFL.

not sure all that coaching will be worth the money difference. 2nd round money and 3rd round money are really different

Sorry I guess a swimmer doesn't understand football slang. There was no belittling of "extraordinary skills of Track & Field athletes". Underwear olympics is a term used for the NFL combine.

My bad. Please accept my apologies. I assumed the reference was to Margus's Track & Field skills and history.
