I know its going to kill you guys but UT is the surprise team to watch this year-extremely experienced team finally maturing at skill positions rather than relying on freshman and sophomores at those key positions. Texas has 19 returning starters-the most in the country

I agree that Aggy isn't going to be as good this year, but their schedule is easier than it was last year. They drop Florida and pick up Vandy, Bama is at home now, Ole Miss and Arkansas are still a year away ,and their OOC sched might be one of the easiest in the country - they are all at home and we are the toughie. They may be a worse team and still end up 10-2.

I have double revenge in mind!!! Aggie tickets are expensive and it's hard to get good seats when you are the visitor (plus, they are only one level above LSU fans as far as staying classy in the stands - heck all SEC fans are awful and they fit right in). But, we are trying to attend both games. I know Nick Saban is already planning for the game, I just hope June Jones is doing the same. Roll Tide and Pony UP!

Unfortunately, last year showed that June doesn't plan, he "pencils in"; my guess in this case is it is pencilled in as a L. That said, I would love to be proven wrong.

Have you ever been on A$M's campus? I doubt it. My kid chose A&M over SMU mainly because it was out of town. I am as big an SMU homer as anyone on this board having graduated in 1976 and had a birds-eye seat when the Aggie corpsman pulled out his sword when our cheerleaders dared step on the playing field to perform their cheers in the early 80's when we were a national power in football. As a result, I had a preset opinion about the Aggie students until I went down for his freshman orientation. The Aggies also have orientation for the parents. I was amazed how friendly and courteous the faculty and students on campus were even though I was wearing an SMU hat. Several came up and greeted my wife and me with a "Howdy", which is their preferred greeting. I have yet to meet anyone that was not friendly. When we asked for directions, all were willing to help us find our way around that enormous campus. Now I can't say that for some of the other campuses in Texas especially Tech. Whitwiki, I would recommend dropping by the campus some time before making that statement!

Very friendly; I mean, just up until the point where they ask you to have some

I like A&M. I like loyalty and tradition. Not enough of it in our world today.

I have heard the same from 5 or 6 of my friends whose kids attend A&M. They all say how polite and well mannered everyone seems to be. Their kids also say how nice everyone is, as well

That's because the alumni, school administration and students value tradition.

I think they all respect and value tradition. Can you imagine K. Sumlin changing their collie mascot to a chihuahua? ( sheep maybe but never a minature dog).
