As long as we have 4 non-conference games to schedule, I'm all for playing TCU and UNT every year so we have one at home and one on the road every year. Gives flexibility to schedule two other schools home/home on 2 year deals. Bottom line is the metroplex rivalries need to be built up...not torn down
I would hate to see the TCwho-SMU series end. If TCwho decides to end the football series, I hope SMU returns the favor and stops scheduling TCwho in basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, golf, and whatever other sports they compete against each other.

if they fear we are going to be too tough a non-conference foe and cancel the football series, I sure hope we continue to schedule them in hoops and slaughter them when we play. I understand their Big XII schedule is going to be tough and they have to find a way to get 7 wins every year, but are they going to substitute Rice for SMU? Should we remind them what Rice did to SMU last year?
Just me. . . I wouldn't want to schedule TCwho in anything if they stopped the football series. As far as basketball goes, when Larry Brown turns SMU in to a basketball power. What would be the point in scheduling TCwho? TCwho will never amount to chit in basketball, and if by small chance the froggies beat SMU, it would only hurt SMU in the big picture.
So many are out of touch on this board. Stallion is wrong, we won't be considered the same level as UNT in the next generation, we are there NOW to everyone except SMU alums or SWC dinosaurs.
The Copeland lovers and admin butt kissers put us there. Those who kneel down to pray to our Hawaiian golden calf over our minor but very irrelevant success keep us there.

If everyone but the people you listed consider us the same level as UNT then why were we invited to the AAC and not them?
dont be ridiculous - there is an ocean of room between TCU and NTSU - we are somewhere in the middle, but as far as we are from TCU, we are closer to them then we are to NTSU.

We were already in c-USA and they were in sunbelt. Nearly all of the cusa teams got invited to join AAC. A very exclusive club.
I am not commenting on the exclusivity of being invited to the American. Can go back further, why were we in cusa and they were not? Clearly someone thinks there is a difference between the two programs besides SMU alums and swc dinosaurs.
