IT'S FINALLY GONNA HAPPEN! S.M.U. VERSUS SAM HOUSTON STATE!Moderators: PonyPride, SmooPower Well, that is overstating it a bit. Many of our our recruits did have some of the options he had, as you have documented on this board, which I really do appreciate, I might add. Of course, we need to be in a position where all our recruits have numerous options and choose us over them. And we aren't there yet, obviously.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but does SMU play TCU in '06? Looking through recent schedules, it seems like they play every year, but I don't see them on the future schedule for 2006, although I guess there's still that 12th game to be filled.
TCU/SMU '06 no game is scheduled as of now. way back when the schedules were made we were both in the WAC. once TCU left the wac TCU/SMU filled in the rivalry games as out of conference but '06 was not open. with the 12th game makes one suspect we'll schedule one another in'06.
I swore that I heard that the SMU vs Texas Tech series had been renewed for 06 which would now be a full 12 game schedule.
This is what I have... 2006 9/02 vs Texas Tech 9/09 @ North Texas TBA vs Arkansas State TBA vs Sam Houston State TBA vs UAB TBA vs Marshall TBA @ ECU TBA vs Houston TBA @ Tulane TBA @ UTEP TBA @ Rice TBA vs Tulsa 2007 9/01 @ Texas Tech 9/08 vs North Texas TBA @ Baylor 9/22 @ TCU 2008 9/13 vs Texas Tech 9/20 vs TCU TBA @ Arkansas State 2009 9/19 @ Texas Tech 9/26 @ TCU 2010 9/4 vs Texas Tech 9/11 vs TCU 2011 TBA @ Texas A&M 2012 TBA vs Texas A&M ![]()
The UNT fans will come in force last year when they came to Austin the visitors section was full..Maybe not after halftime but they came had a huge tailgate. Them greenie weenies are excited about their program.
I have predicted for years that SMU will have a chance to post a winning record in 2006. Looking at that schedule, it's a good thing we have Ark St and Sam Houson coming to Ford. We will do well to win 6 games and will have to beat someone on the road to make it happen. An early win against UNT would be a great start. TTech, UAB, Marshall & Houston are going to make for a tough home slate.
Thanks the for welcome back. Ready to see our Mustangs run to a winning record! ![]() (And my Lobos win a State Championship of course, BTW we're already ranked 6th in the country!) ![]()
Ditto! Glad to see ya back, buddy! GO LOBOS! GO MUSTANGS!
