Re: AAC Bowls for 2013-2014
My order of preference:
Beef O'Brady: Florida in late December is a good thing. And St. Pete is closer to the water than Orlando!
Russell Athletic: Florida in late December is a good thing!
BBVA Compass: Those who went to Birmingham last time know it was a great trip.
Belk: Charlotte is a cool city.
Liberty: Memphis has some pretty solid BBQ.
Pinstripe: New York in late December? Was Anchorage closed down?

Pinstripe is probably my number 1, despite the weather. Christmas trip to NYC and Yankee Stadium, that is pretty awesome.
I don't want to go back to Birmingham. Been there, done that, give me something new!

Re: AAC Bowls for 2013-2014
I think that the overall quality of eligible bowls for AAC teams are a step up from the bowls in CUSA. That alone is movement in the right direction.
I would put Pinstripe Bowl as #1. Not cause I love NYC (hate it) or because Dec is such a great time of year in NYC, but because it is a MAJOR media market and we could use the positive exposure this year.

Went to the Pinstripe bowl 2 years ago and saw Rutgers and Iowa State play. Cool game.JasonB wrote:Pinstripe is probably my number 1, despite the weather. Christmas trip to NYC and Yankee Stadium, that is pretty awesome.

No way we would ever be sent up there.

Re: AAC Bowls for 2013-2014
AAC just lost the Pinstripe Bowl after this coming season. We will be replaced by the Big 10.

Re: AAC Bowls for 2013-2014
It's pretty demeaning to have to put on a banner "Beef O' Brady Champion." Can't there be some really low base line to garbage as* corporate sponsor names we won't cross? Can't wait for the Cialis or Preparation H Bowl.
Re: AAC Bowls for 2013-2014
I'm looking forward to the S. C. Johnson & Son Drano Bowl, the Oxo Toilet Plunger Bowl, or the Dulcolax Bowel Prep Kit Bowl. Think of the amazing bowl swag the players would receive lol!
