I wouldn't be so quick on that - he is a good player, and teams such as Nevada, NIU, CSU and USU have already offered. You say we shouldn't compete with them? I'd say that's about where we are right now.

Utah State and Northern Illinois are very good programs, legit top 25. Did they both offer? Nevada is about our level, slightly below. We are a much better team than my freshman alma mater CSU.

UTSA and maybe Arkansas State are one thing, but getting a guy with offers from Colorado State, Navy, Nevada, Northern Illinois, Utah State and UTEP is just fine.

Absolutely right.

Plus, this is another really tall DB. Randolph, Crosby, Montgomery, now this guy ... love it.

I agree that Coach Mason seems to do a pretty good job of evaluating guys...we've had plenty of defensive players develop into pretty solid players after 2-3 years in the program. This year will be another good test of Mason's judgment. Not many highly recruited guys in that projected starting lineup.

would be nice if we could lock down a bunch of 4 and 5 star H.S. kids, but it looks like we only get to rent those guys for a year or two later in their careers

Look at Rivals, not too many 4 or 5 star guys committed to schools that average 22k a game or whatever we draw
