Surely someone can come up with a unique name - maybe with some reference to the 4-alarm fire (possibly an exaggeration) that engulfed that chunk of real estate prior to the Navy game.
When's the last time SMU marketing made you laugh? Ever? Our stupid insistence on coming up with "unique" ideas that fit our stuffy geriatric fan base is killing us. So instead of the grassy knoll, SMU will give us "Dedman Simmons Mustang Hill"
It would be really cool if we sell/promote local brews like Deep Ellum, Four Corners, Peticolas and Lakewood. Not only are they great micro breweries but it would be another step in embracing Dallas and the non-SMU community. This needs to happen.

Doubtful. Aramark's gonna need their little piece of the action if this is going to happen. With the stranglehold they have on SMU's campus, I doubt they'll bother with anything other than corporate light beer.

It'll be interesting to see how much they charge.......
I was curious and emailed the ticket office regarding the beer situation and below was their response:
"Hi Patrick, As of right now the policy on beer sales in the stadium has not changed. It has been recommended as a possibility in the future, but as of now there will be no beer sold in the stadium. Sorry your friends received in correct information. I’ll make sure the ticket office knows the current status of the recommendation."
