Just wait until some of the "diamond in the rough" recruits pan out...............Stallion wrote:Yes the Stallion Model = SMU Model and it only took 2 decades
My only remaining criticism was that they should hold a retirement party for 3 non-performing recruiters and pay big bucks for young recruiters like BB has. They retired the 3 Amigos but have not stepped up with the big bucks to hire stud experienced Texas recruiters

Then why continue hammering on a war that's been won?Stallion wrote:Yes the Stallion Model = SMU Model and it only took 2 decades.
Re: AAC Football APR Scores
We need to get that curriculum, in place now to bring up those APR scores so that we will not get on probation for low APR scores. Bama obviously has it in place. This is more about curriculum than entrance requirement.

Those kids you are planning all those remedial classes for aren't even going to be eligible for freshman eligibility in a few years. The rules are changing but too many fans are trying to solve 1980s problems rather than dealing with the new academic reality. SMU needs to plan for 2016 and not 1980. The Good news is that recruits will be substantially better prepared for college courses and schools will be substantially less likely to take a chance on marginal recruits because they will be substantial increases in eligibility and freshman eligibility with mandatory freshman redshirts for a high percentage of recruits. How many Basketball programs can afford 3-4 mandatory freshman redshirts
