Not many AAC teams have seen June's offense
We should be able to capitalize on that. Minimum 28 per game on teams that have not played us is my prediction.

EJ is predicting 38 points per game.. so that means we will do worse against teams who have never seen the offense?
Re: Not many AAC teams have seen June's offense
I said minimum 28 per game not averaging 38 per game. I said nothing above average points per game. As far as average points is concerned I think 38 per game conference average against the teams that have not played us is fair.JasonB wrote:EJ is predicting 38 points per game.. so that means we will do worse against teams who have never seen the offense?

We don't even know what this offense is going to look like. 2 back sets, possibly utilizing a true TE/Hback, Mumme effect......
Re: Not many AAC teams have seen June's offense
Ahh. It's Sunshine season again. So Mumme is the new savior.
I predicted 6-6 last year, due mainly to the O line. They went 6-6.
Could be even tougher this year, given the schedule, and losses on D.
As for the notion that no one has seen Junes Offense. Do they really need to wory?
On the bright side. Although June has given up on recruiting (It's 2 star U now, Maybe June is about ready to bail) he does have a knack for pulling good players out of nowhere. AKA Margus, Zack Line, Mc Neal, Sterling, etc.

Bad passes and drops are the biggest limiting factor on our offense. Besides Baylor, I don't think we were ever "shut-down" last year.

So now anyone who makes a prediction on here has to be consistent with EJ's prediction? That is bizarre.JasonB wrote:EJ is predicting 38 points per game.. so that means we will do worse against teams who have never seen the offense?

Re: Not many AAC teams have seen June's offense
I'm praying to God that Mumme/Phillips will provide a little spark to this offense. Everything about our offense is slow. Getting the play in is slow, there is hardly ever any pre-snap movement or motion, no misdirection. etc.
One of our most highly touted recruits is the kid Jeremiah Gaines out of Red Oak. Kid had offers from over a dozen BCS programs like Cal, Texas Tech, TCU, Oregon State, etc. He's a 6-3 235 pounder that can really catch the football and make things happen. We need to get this kid on the field in an H-Back or Tight End type of role. I don't want to see four 5-11 165 pound butterfingers out there running go routes the entire game.

Back off Warchild seriously.

I hope we don't see June's offense either but rather see Hal Mumme's offense. Can't imagine JJ would let Mumme do anything except for add wrinkles to the RnS
