WAC days our traveling contingency seemed to be mostly made up of parents of the traveling players.

Regardless, plenty of good support from the people on this board. We just gotta figure out how to grow support off the board!

Saw the '01 and '03 games at SJSU (also at the '99 game cancelled due to a blown transformer). Never quite made it to Fresno but all that did was avoid some bad losses.

A bunch of my buddies and I have said the same thing.

Absolutely do this. The first weekend is a BLAST. The games are almost always in actual basketball-sized arenas, not football stadiums, and the energy is fantastic.

My stadium list:

Texas Stadium
Amon Carter
Rice
Ownby (I remember a Tulsa loss that was super-depressing)
Cotton Bowl (the 19-16 OT BYU loss)
Ford

But at least I've seen an away victory, 56-21 over TCU!

Usual suspects in Texas from SWC days including Memorial Stadium in Austin.

Legion Field vs Alabama in mid 1970's.

SMU vs Georgia Tech @ Grant Field in Atlanta circa 1957/1958.

Question regarding this, has ponyfans every put up a tent on the blvd or handed out stuff saying come check us out or anything like that? I know all that stuff costs money, but I didn't know about this board at all til I was probably a junior or senior. I've become a lot bigger fan since I started paying attention to the board and realized there were actually people putting stuff out about SMU athletics. FWIW

Most of those mentioned save for Hawaii and Wyoming--but I did see the Mirage Bowl in the former Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

Nice start. I would assume that is a longer list than most of your classmates?

any early morning flights to cincy? Charter?

edit: 6:55am flight to cincy, arrives 10:10 via AA

Good work

Is there a gametime yet?

Best road trips - New Orleans, So Miss, and Hawaii Bowl. Memphis aint bad. Away games are fun unless we are playing A&M, Baylor or any other decent team :)
