My favorite would be SMU's Don Meredith. He was great but had less team support then some other qbs. However, the two best I've seen that played on good teams would be Roger Staubach and Johnny Unitas. Both Roger and Johnny were at their best when the game was on the line. That's what made them great and, in my opinion, more worthy than others with outstanding numbers.

Another guy who should be remembered on this post is Joe Namath. Although I didn't see him live I saw him on television tell the world that his New York Jets would win a Supper Bowl when they were highly under rated and make good on his prediction.
