SMU MUSTANGS.COM. Click the SHOP link, and then Heritage Hall DVD'S. Tons of stuff, I was honored to donate a chunk of it.

Miracle on Mockingbird. Maybe not the best game but maybe the gutsiest game played by a Mustang football team.

Best game - 83 Cotton Bowl. SMU/Pitt. Man it was cold, but fun

Best game was the 2009 UTEP was where TT blasted thru on 4th down and scrambled around finally sacking vittatoe for a loss to secure a bowl invite, Taylor stayed on ground for several minutes not knowing what happenel not respond because of exhaustion. Second best Game was Hawaii Bowl in 2009 where we jumped on Kaeperneck 35-3 at halftime and the steam rolled Nevda[*] for first bowl win in 25 years

The Ponies earned a wild 28 to 27 victory as John Rodrick used his world class speed to beat the Navy DEs and rush for 140 yards on 12 carries. Staubach had 3 passes into the SMU end zone knocked down in the last 12 seconds of the game. Staubach would go on to win the Heisman and Navy would go undefeated the rest of the season and meet Texas in the Cotton Bowl losing to the first great Texas wishbone team.

I saw the SMU/Navy game too and agree that it was the mosting exciting game ever. I have seen many of the great wins listed already, but Rodrick and Staubach changed football that night.

1986 Home Game against the Aggies in front of a big crowd at Texas Stadium. It was the last "bigtime" game SMU played in before David Stanley ratted out the team.

I also enjoyed the Uconn game after two years building homecoming Soccer floats.

Either the Arkansas game at the cotton bowl in the mid90s - I think we lost at the very end or the game at navy a few years later where we won.

Yes, that was a great back and forth game. The ags won 39-35 in front of 56 or 58,000 fans in Texas Stadium. That place was rockin, and the ags winning td drive, was aided by a 15 yard penalty on the Mustang Band.

I think the Cotton Bowl game against pitt. I also enjoyed watching us beat ND in the Aloha Bowl game. When we would see their guys walking around they looked huge. Their coach kept walking on the field arguing about every little thing (kind of like the old Arkansas coach used to do).

I agree the 1986 SMU/Aggie game was one of the greatest SMU losses I've seen. Another see-saw game that went down the final gun.

Remember the key 15 yard Unsportsman Like Conduct Penalty on SMU Mustang Band in Final Minutes. Look at those awesome Football uniforms
