Re: 4 Star QB Commits to SMU: Per SMU86
Funny. Even before clicking through, I thought they are probably already downgrading him to a 2 or 3 star, or "good for him, he never would have made in the SEC"...
Re: 4 Star QB Commits to SMU: Per SMU86"His stock has fallen hard the last few months. " Evidence? He's listed on ESPN and Scout 4*

Re: 4 Star QB Commits to SMU: Per SMU86I guess the SEC has their own version of the WDNWHA Committee.
Mrydel- did you approve the SEC chapter?? The first rule of the WDNWHA Committee is don't talk about the WDNWHA Committee!!!
Re: 4 Star QB Commits to SMU: Per SMU86
Not to be a downer but if someone wanted to submit evidence of his stock falling they would probably point to him having been offered by Alabama but ending up committing to SMU. In other words, is the Alabama offer still commitable?
Re: 4 Star QB Commits to SMU: Per SMU86right-he's got a Kentucky and Mississippi St. offer too but not the hot shot programs you'd usually see on a 4 star list. He isn't a 4 star on Rivals either. And most schools have tied down their QBs. QB is the first position offered and generally the first off the table. Some might make a run just because he committed to SMU I'll admit but its later than most realize for QB recruiting.

Re: 4 Star QB Commits to SMU: Per SMU86just to show you the evidence that QB recruiting generally settles earlier than every other position. 6 months before signing date 24 of 25 of Rivals top ranked Pro-style QBs have committed and 24 of 25 of Rivals top ranked Dual style QBs have committed

Re: 4 Star QB Commits to SMU: Per SMU86SEC msg board said the kid regressed a bit during camps, but still has the measurables and a rocket arm.
sounds a lot like GG actually. Also, USF offer still valid as he visited recently. All in all, a great get for us.
Re: 4 Star QB Commits to SMU: Per SMU86Wonder how often he'll hear from JJ and staff?
Peruna is my mascot!
Re: QB commits to SMUHe reportedly has offers from Mississippi State, South Carolina, South Florida, Troy, Middle Tennessee, Kentucky ... and Alabama.
Think about that last one for a minute. February's a long way off, but we beat Bama for a player. NICE! Fountain of youth

If he doesn't, I'll be sure to drive down from Atlanta to see him. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."

they went right down the standard list of talking points. Took them straight from the text book from WDNWHA 101. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: 4 Star QB Commits to SMU: Per SMU86
Exactly what I was thinking. Except our coaching staff will have him longer, which could be good, depending on who our coaching staff is in 4 years that is..... ____________________________________________________________

Re: QB commits to SMU
I don't think the Bama offer was commitable since they just got a commitment from a 4 star QB which actually helped us in landing Harris. South Carolina was slow playing him as ponyinNC pointed out. USF and the others were really on him though. #HammerDown
